Sandanzuki

Summary

I am using "sandanzuki" to refer to my plan to revive the Mythology Wiki. I am not a spammer or a troll; I am not trying to throw a fit because I want to be an administrator somewhere. I want to bring this wiki to life, and I'll attempt it quite happily without administrator abilities.

Why "sandanzuki"? The Sandanzuki was a sword technique said to be performed by historical samurai Okita Souji; it has passed into legend because no one is physically capable of striking the head and shoulders at the same time. However, since I have three major goals, it seemed like an appropriate name for my hijacking.

I feel justified in this hijacking because Morningstar2651, the creator of this wiki, has not been active since May 2008. (As far as I can tell, anyway.) Nor have Notmyhandle and Qui-Gon Reborn been active since 2009. If an administrator, or even someone who has been contributing longer, would like me to cease and desist, just say the word.

Goals

  • To create more organization and structure.
  • To create more content.
  • To rally the contributors.

Qualifications

  • I have my BA in English Literature. I am quite well-versed in researching literature and organizing that research.
  • I have been studying mythology since I was about ten years old.

Request

I would like to ask anyone who is still contributing to this wiki (even unregistered contributors) to please leave a note so I can get an idea of how many are actually working on this project. Please let me know if you are all right with me ("Hello, active member here!") or if you want me to back down ("Stop this nonsense right now!").
